Date Language & Format
Normally, TimeStory tracks your Mac’s System Preferences to determine how to
format dates in your timelines, including the names of months and weekdays.
If you’re preparing a document for export or presentation, however, you may
sometimes want to choose a different language or convention for just that
Choose Style > Language & Regional Style for Dates to choose between using the
system format or a fixed, specific language and region.
- This setting is per-document; if you regularly want to override this
setting, consider saving a document template so you can easily
start new documents pre-configured.
- This only affects the display of dates within the timeline; it does not,
for example, affect how dates are displayed or entered in the Inspector, in
Quick Entry, in Go To Date, and so on. This allows you to keep editing and
